Arestin
After scaling and root planing procedures, we can help you avoid more extensive treatment with the aid of an antibiotic called Arestin. Placed on the infected gums around the tooth root, Arestin treats periodontal disease and promotes faster healing. Many of our patients have experienced great success when following our home care instructions using Arestin.
Cosmetic Periodontics
Are your teeth sensitive to heat or cold? Often gum tissue around teeth recedes due to periodontal disease, genetically thin tissue, or aggressive brushing. Our office can help you with your over-exposed teeth and gums. We can help you cover sensitive or unappealing root exposures. In addition to improving esthetics, our procedures improve your over all long term oral health.
Periodontal Regeneration
Periodontal regeneration is often used to rebuild the supporting structures around the teeth which have been destroyed by periodontal disease. Tissues which can be rebuilt include the bone around the necks of the teeth and the fibers which hold the tooth in close contact with the jawbone.

Periodontal Treatment
The goals of treating periodontal disease include removal of the plaque and tarter on the root surfaces and reduction of the pockets around the teeth. Bacteria lives within these pockets, therefore the goal is to reduce the pocket size to reduce the surface area where the bacteria live. To prevent and treat periodontal disease we use the simple procedure of scaling and root planing. Moderate and advanced periodontal disease often requires additional periodontal procedures to treat effectively.
